Doula services are individualized and may include:

• Two or more  prenatal visits* ~ to discuss your options, assess your needs, desires, and fears, provide information about what to expect, signs and symptoms of labor, optimal positioning, breathing techniques, imagery, etc.  I may also attend prenatal visits to your care provider, or childbirth classes with you, if that kind of support is needed and is feasible within my schedule

*prenatal visits are not intended to replace childbirth education classes.

• use of an informational binder
• email & phone support  
• birth goal counseling
• access to lending library & birth ball
• being on call 24/7 for your labor and birth
• emergency back-up doula, if I am unable to attend due to sickness
• labor/birth picture taking, if desired 
• continuous informational, emotional, & physical support during labor, and 2 or more hours immediate postpartum
• breastfeeding support
• community resources and referrals as needed 
• one or more postpartum visits with a meal, to discuss your experience, and answer any questions
• postpartum phone & email support as needed 
• When you hire me to be your doula, by signing the contract, you as my client will have responsibilities, so that you get the most from my services.
  

I DO NOT: 

• make decisions for you, though I may assist you with information
• perform clinical tasks, medical assessments, interpretations, or evaluations
• communicate with the medical staff directly on your behalf~ it is your responsibility to inform the staff of your informed decisions

FEES: NEGOTIABLE

• My fee for the services described above is $550 I accept a (non-refundable) retainer fee of $200 at contract signing, with remaining balance of $350 due at the prenatal visits.  We may also set up a payment plan, and/or barter. Fees are negotiable!
