Once the contract is signed, it is important to understand my expectations of you as my client, so that you may get the most from my services. As my client you are expected to:
-
Communicate any health factors related to your pregnancy.
-
Be honest about your expectations.
-
Call to reschedule an appointment, if unable to attend.
-
Pay my fees according to the agreed upon schedule.
-
Inform me of any tests done and the results, if it will affect the birth.
-
Inform me of any special cultural or religious customs relevant to the birth.
-
Understand my role in your birth, as it pertains to education, physical and emotional support.
-
Ask questions, and be informed, but seek medical advice from a medical professional.
-
Keep in weekly contact once at 36 weeks.
-
Let me know as soon as you suspect you are in labor. I need a "heads up" so I may plan accordingly, to meet the needs of my own family. I would rather be informed too early, than too late.
