Belly casting is a great way to capture your beautiful state of pregnancy, and remember the joys forever! First is deciding what you want to cast. Some women choose the breasts and belly, while others want just the belly. You can also choose to incorporate the thighs or shoulders-one or both. Next, vegetable shortening is applied to those parts. For best results, standing may be advised, but not necessary. The plaster strips, that would be cut to size, are dipped in warm water, in a criss-cross fashion for strength. 

Once the cast is removed, it needs to air dry for 48 hours before applying any paint or decoration. It is recommended that a few layers of Gesso is applied before decorating.

This is done in the comfort of your home, and takes from 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Pricing is for the raw cast only, and varies on how much area is casted.
